Exquisitely fresh seafood, to order, in the Catskills

Note: this page will be updated each Wednesday morning, or as soon as possible thereafter (depends on when we receive our fax).  As soon as it's ready, we'll send you an e-mail reminder that it's time to check out the list; the e-mail will contain a link to this page.

Please note that fish is available primarily by special order - we may order a little extra for the store in the summer, and even in winter the wholesaler may overship, so it doesn't hurt to ask if we have some extra - but if you're counting on having seafood, it's best to assume that you need to order it specifically.

Order by e-mail (see link below) as late as midnight Thursday night!

*1/2/08   Have to tell you:  tonight we grilled some escolar we had in the freezer, excess from a customer's order a while back.  It's a very rich fish and can have some harmless but inconvenient side effects if too much is eaten at any one time.   I thought the advantage of grilling would be to take some of that fat off,  and it worked very well:  the escolar turned out blackened and crispy on the outside, moist, flavorful, and  slightly chewy on the inside, in texture very much like a tender and properly barbecued steak, but a beautiful ivory color, much like a scallop.   The grilled escolar was also very good used as the meat in tortilla wraps (our outstandingly delicious Buenatural organic), along with salsa (Green Mountain Gringo), our crisp organic romaine, and a tiny bit of sour cream (Organic Valley) and cheddar (our New Zealand 12-month), all in stock here.

Try the Ducktrap Smoked Trout from Maine, too!  You don't need to order ahead on this one - it's always in stock in the freezer nearest the register counter.  And it makes a great addition to one of our festive and delicious cheese platters.

We appreciate receiving your order Thursday afternoon, but we place the order Friday morning around 1 a.m. - so don't hesitate to send us an order as late as 12:00 Thursday night.

Thanks for using cash or check (no credit or debit cards, please) to pay for your seafood order.

The delivery usually arrives a little after 12 noon on Friday.  If you wish to pick your order up Friday afternoon, please call before you make the trip, so you can be sure it's here.
